Downhill

As the name indicates, Downhill’s about skating down hills, the bigger the better, surfing the asphalt. The idea is speed, getting down the road as quickly as possible.

It´s considered the most extreme, and the most dangerous, form of longboard skating. The current world speed record for downhill is 143,89km/h!

Typically, it’s known for offering the longboarder (rider) a unique kind of freedom and an adrenaline rush that lasts the whole ride down.

There’re different ways to slow down, foot-braking, sliding, air-braking and hard carving. Whatever the technique, the rider seeks the fastest, most stable and precise line into the curve, leaving the curve with the highest acceleration possible, right to the bottom.
